Revere Copper

HVAC

Modern technology calls for copper’s unique properties.

Due to its corrosion resistance, machinability and high thermal conductivity, copper and copper alloy products are used extensively in residential and commercial heating, cooling and refrigeration systems.

C12200 copper is extensively used for condensers and evaporators. Deoxidized copper is the standard material for transferring heat from steam to water or air because of its excellent resistance to corrosion by fresh water and high thermal conductivity. Copper’s antimicrobial properties can enhance the performance of HVAC systems and associated indoor air quality. After extensive testing, copper became a registered material in the U.S. for protecting heating and air conditioning equipment surfaces against bacteria, mold, and mildew.
